We are so excited about our Calvary Kids Xperience this summer. We are back to a fun-filled week of evenings for all ages.

Calvary Kids Xperience: June 26-June 30

  • Calvary Kids Xperience is open to children who will be 3 as of September 2023, up to children entering grade 6!
  • Camp will run from 6 PM to 8 PM each evening at Calvary Clarenville (located at 14 Trinity Crescent) Each day, children will participate in a variety of activities based around heroes of the Bible – and how we can be heroes too!
  • These activities will include outside play, active games, crafts & science experiments, music & dancing, interactive Bible teaching and MORE! We can’t even explain how much we jam into one evening of Kids Xperience.
  • Children will be supervised by screened and trained volunteers and church staff. All of our volunteers have completed Abuse Prevention & Awareness Training, Criminal Record Checks, and undergo Training Sessions before the camp. We work hard to have 1 adult/student for every 8 children.
  • Our preschoolers have their own group with designated leaders! We would love for them to join us. We are unable to change pullups/diapers at this time, but your child is welcome to join us if they are good for 2 hours!
  • If your child has special needs (whether that’s behavioural, physical, mental, or a combination!), we would love to work with you to have them join us! Complete this form along with a regular registration form, and we will work with you to make Kids Xperience a positive experience for your children!

FAQs

Q. Who is this camp open to?
This camp is open to any children in the Clarenville area within the ages of each week
(Ages 3-6 for Week 1 and Ages 7-11 for Week 2). You do not need to attend Calvary, or have attended any of our events in the past to attend.

Q. What will my kids learn about?
This year we are using a Hero Hotline theme so that kids can learn everyone has a role to play, gifts to offer, and a special plan from God! Our stories will be:
-> Jesus builds a team of disciples! (John 1)
-> God uses wonder women to rescue Moses! (Exodus 1-2)
-> Jethro mentors Moses – and heroes work together! (Exodus 18)
-> The magnificent magi visit Jesus! (Matthew 1-2)
-> Unexpected heroes give Paul a basket ride (Acts 9)

Q. What about if my child has pervasive needs (physical, mental, emotional, developmental)?
Great question! We work hard to create an environment where all kids feel welcome and are able to enjoy their experience. If your child has needs we should be aware of (this can be something as simple as they feel nervous!), we would really like to know. Please complete this form with your registration! This helps us prepare to serve your kids best, prepare our volunteers & make any adaptations to our programming and environment. If your child is used to having a one-on-one worker/teacher/assistant in a school environment, please let us know!

Q. What is the cost?
There is no cost to this camp, but we will accept donations towards the cost of the camp! As in previous years, we will have a Camp Shop where kids can purchase souvenirs (think buttons, water bottles, t-shirts, etc.) from Heroes Headquarters!

Q. What if I need to drop off early/pick up late?
Unfortunately, we cannot chaperone children for more than 15 minutes before or after the start/finish time of our camp.
