Calvary Kids Xperience 2025

What are the dates?
Calvary Kids Xperience is happening this year from Monday, June 16 to Friday June 20.
Kids will join us from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm nightly, with Friday night running until 8:00 pm.
Who can attend?
All children in the Clarenville-Random Island area are welcome to attend our Kids Xperience! No matter what your family’s background, we’d love to have you. This is a faith-based program with an emphasis on the life of Jesus, but you do not have to be a part of Calvary (or any church!) to attend this program. We’d love to see your child!
Any child who will be 4 by December 31, 2025 up to grade 6 is welcome to attend! Children will be placed in age-appropriate groups.
Children will start each night in a large group opening session. Kids will hear the rules and the plan for the night, then participate in upbeat music and dancing (led by a team of awesome teenagers!). Kids will be introduced to an Arctic animal each night who will help set the theme for the night’s activities.
After the opening, kids will rotate through stations – these can include games, hands-on Bible learning, outdoor play, free play, art and science (depending on the night!). Kids will finish the night with a snack and closing celebration!
This year, our theme is True North – and Calvary will be transformed into a beautiful Arctic campsite (I know, not that far fetched, ha!). Kids will be introduced to a different Arctic animal each night that will teach them a story from the life of Jesus.
Kids will learn that no matter what happens in life they can trust Jesus! The nightly concepts are meant to introduce kids to concepts of confidence and resilience through the Bible. A more in-depth look at each night’s teaching is available below.
Kids Xperience is a program at Calvary Clarenville, overseen by Julia Ball – Calvary’s Assistant Pastor. The program runs with the help of over 30 volunteers – all of whom attend training sessions. Anyone over the age of 18 has a Vulnerable Sector Check on file. All teenage volunteers are paired with an adult in their stations and rotations to make sure all of our kids are being supervised safely!
We encourage all parents and guardians to drop off their children if possible! This is for:
1) Space – We are limited!
2) Safety – We want to ensure every adult who is in our building during the programming has been screened.
However, we know some kids have a hard time leaving their adult! If this is the case, we do have a designated Parent Area that you can stay in during the programming – but you will not be able to rotate through the stations with your child. The only exception to this is preschool programming – if you need to stay with your child, there is a process we can follow by emailing julia.tmcole@gmail.com.
One of our key values at Calvary Kids is inclusivity! We want as many children as possible to enjoy our programming, and we can’t wait to meet your child.
- If your child has a disability, difference or anything at all you’d like us to know, please give us as much information as possible on their registration form.
- Pastor Julia will follow up with you to get more information on how we can best serve your child!
- If your child has full-time assistance at school (with a student assistant or learns in a Pervasive Needs Environment), an adult will need to attend with them. If you do not have an adult able to attend, get in touch with us and we will work to find a designated volunteer that can do so!
- If you have an older child (grades 7+) with differences or disabilities, please stay tuned for future programming this summer.
